fielddata.io GmbH member of MiC 4.0

01.07.2020 | The fielddata.io GmbH has been a member of MiC 4.0 since the foundation of the association at BAUMA 2019. In the meantime, the company has appointed the chairman for the special foundation construction cluster.

MiC 4.0 – Standardization of machine data

Since its foundation at BAUMA 2019 in Munich, fielddata.io GmbH has been a member of the MiC 4.0 association (short for "Machines in Construction 4.0"), which has the overarching task of standardizing data for construction equipment.

MiC 4.0 works nationally, but has set itself the goal of pushing this area forward significantly beyond the scope of national borders and implementing it among its members in no time flat. Through its chairman, Dr. Hans Regler, fielddata.io handles cluster 3 "special foundation construction" in the framework of MiC 4.0 and has been actively working on expanding the desired standardization since the middle of last year.

fielddata.io GmbH mediates between the different parties

By positioning itself as a bridge between the user and the manufacturer, fielddata.io GmbH can ideally mediate and moderate between the different parties and companies. "We're very proud that the concepts and specifications proposed together with the manufacturers and users are taken directly as a template for other clusters in the working group", says Dr. Hans Regler.

So far, all parameters have been defined uniformly across all manufacturers in accordance with ISO15143-3. For example, every user with the value "absolute downtime" has a uniform understanding of what that means exactly. The extensions of this interface are currently being worked on, and an intermediate result is that the structure of the new data has been jointly determined. The next step is going to be to define the individual data depending on the process in subgroups.
